Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, charting, and room preparation.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical records and verifying insurance information.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
