Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving measures when necessary.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including those related to infection control and patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the department.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
