Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications according to protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment responses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in strict compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
