Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient conditions to identify changes or emergencies promptly.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress, vital signs, and care provided.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Environment Safety: Adhere to strict infection control measures and maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New Mexico.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; strong new graduate candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
