Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide critical interventions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental performance reviews
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
