Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory
- Position patients and apply sterile drapes
- Document surgical activities accurately
- Clean and restock operating rooms efficiently
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
