Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile operating rooms and surgical equipment according to strict protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical inventory, including sterilization and restocking of supplies
- Document perioperative activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
- Provide post-operative equipment decontamination and room turnover
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience in multi-specialty OR
- Expertise in sterile processing and aseptic technique
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work day/evening shifts (12-24 hours/week)
