Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for all procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Perform equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and operating room protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening shifts including weekends
- Valid Hawaii state healthcare provider CPR certification
