Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical fields and equipment for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Operate advanced surgical equipment including endoscopic devices
- Inventory and manage surgical supplies and implants
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification current
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ASHES)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening shifts including weekends
