Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies to ensure optimal readiness
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and OSHA safety protocols
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
