Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor the operating room environment for safety and efficiency throughout the shift.
- Stock and inventory surgical supplies, ensuring nothing runs low during procedures.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room with care and accuracy.
- Handle specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures according to hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
