Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle surgical specimens with proper protocols
- Manage inventory and sterilization of equipment
- Document procedural details accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience in surgical specialties
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Current BLS certification
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
