Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Handle specimen collection and documentation procedures
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies between cases
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless perioperative care
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- 1+ years of recent surgical tech experience
- BLS/CPR certification from an accredited provider
- Knowledge of sterile processing and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Hawaii state license or eligible for immediate application
