Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Count and account for all surgical instruments and supplies
- Prepare patients for surgery and transport between departments
- Clean and sterilize equipment according to OSHA standards
- Document procedural activities and inventory accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced OR environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
