Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields according to surgical protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before/after procedures
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory
- Document procedural events accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Ohio Surgical Tech license (or eligible)
