Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies efficiently.
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange sterile supplies prior to surgery.
- Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite safely.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Document patient records and surgical counts accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or similar certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
