Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of all individuals at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to patient care, such as making beds and preparing patient rooms.
Qualifications
- Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
