Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging instruments.
- Assist providers during examinations by positioning patients and handing instruments.
- Perform basic clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and EKGs.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the physician.
- Manage patient records and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Coordinate with the front desk to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is a plus.
