Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and Telemetry
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Adhere to JCAHO and facility-specific safety protocols
- Participate in shift handoffs and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license or compact state license
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Flexibility with rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments
