- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and transport specimens to testing facilities with chain-of-custody integrity
- Provide remote patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with lab supervisors via telehealth platforms for quality assurance
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during all virtual patient interactions
- Calibrate and troubleshoot remote specimen collection equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical blood collection experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote monitoring tools
- Valid North Carolina phlebotomy license
- Exceptional verbal communication skills for virtual patient guidance
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
