- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage to assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop appropriate care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive measures
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with emergency services when required
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Experience with telephone triage protocols preferred
