Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients across all age groups
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care level and urgency
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education about symptoms and next steps
- Coordinate care transitions between departments and external facilities
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Manage high call volumes efficiently during peak hours
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred
