Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone triage for patient inquiries and urgent care needs
- Conduct clinical assessments using standardized protocols and evidence-based practices
- Coordinate patient care across departments and external providers
- Document encounters accurately in EMR systems with attention to compliance standards
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive health measures
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists on complex cases
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all communications
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years acute care or emergency nursing experience
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in telephone triage protocols (e.g., TriageLogic, ESI)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
