Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone assessments to determine patient acuity and appropriate care level
- Provide clinical guidance to patients and families regarding symptoms and next steps
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records per regulatory standards
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours with exceptional efficiency
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive measures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience in emergency/urgent care
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Exceptional triage assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Strong communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with telehealth triage preferred
