Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding home care or next steps
- Triage high-volume patient calls efficiently during peak hours
- Assist in managing patient flow and wait times in urgent care settings
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- BLS certification with current renewal date
- Strong assessment skills in emergency and urgent care settings
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Experience with triage protocols and algorithms preferred
