Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone/video triage using clinical protocols
- Provide evidence-based health advice and urgent care guidance
- Accurately document patient encounters in EMR systems
- Coordinate care with providers and ancillary services
- Manage patient flow during high-volume periods
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BSN preferred (ADN considered)
- Triage certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional communication and assessment skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- Flexible availability including evenings/weekends
