Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical equipment for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and wound management
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols and inventory control systems
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless surgical workflows
- Train and mentor junior surgical tech staff on best practices
- Implement new sterilization technologies and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 3+ years of OR experience in general surgery specialties
- Advanced certification in surgical technology (TS-CST) preferred
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgery systems
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
