Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and virtual triage assessments for patients presenting with acute or chronic symptoms.
- Utilize clinical decision-making skills to recommend appropriate treatment plans or facilitate urgent appointments.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and current medications to accurately determine the severity of illness.
- Document all interactions and patient assessments accurately and securely within the EMR system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in clinical triage or a similar healthcare setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while managing high call volumes.
