Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough symptom assessments via phone or secure chat to determine the level of medical urgency.
- Evaluate patient histories to provide appropriate medical advice and treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate medical providers, urgent care centers, or emergency services when necessary.
- Document all interactions accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care for referred patients.
- Maintain a calm and empathetic demeanor when dealing with anxious or distressed patients.
- Stay updated on current medical guidelines, protocols, and medication interactions.
Qualifications
- Active RN License issued by the State of Nevada (NV RN license required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in triage or telehealth.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Reliable internet connection if working remotely.
