Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and determine appropriate level of care.
- Route calls to appropriate medical providers, specialists, or emergency services when necessary.
- Document patient interactions accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient education and medication reconciliation during triage calls.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and triage protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting (Triage experience preferred).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and private workspace for remote triage capabilities.
