Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide respectful and dignified assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Administration: Help clients manage medications and remind them to take doses as prescribed by their physician.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and document changes in the client's condition, mood, or behavior and report them to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Companionship & Social Engagement: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Nutrition & Meal Prep: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if required.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light laundry and cleaning.
- Transportation Support: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid CNA or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is preferred; LPN/LVN credentials are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing, or geriatric care is highly valued but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen actively.
- Character: A genuine, patient, and empathetic demeanor with a strong commitment to client privacy and dignity.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
