Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain precise medication records and ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy management software efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Adhere to all federal and state pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology
