Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical tasks
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing technology
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- CPR certification preferred
