Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, process, and fill prescription orders in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure compliance.
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, compounding, and labeling.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with the organization and cleaning of the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or registration (if required by state).
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in pharmacy technology preferred.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
