Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service while counseling patients on medication usage
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations (DEA, HIPAA)
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
- Operate pharmacy automation systems and maintain clean, organized workspaces
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
