Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy, checking for drug interactions.
- Assist patients with prescription inquiries and guide them through the insurance verification process.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and managing expiration dates.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with high precision.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients of all ages.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Valid FL Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred.
