Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and assist with patient billing inquiries
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and health maintenance
- Maintain precise electronic health records and regulatory documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication regimens
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
