Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions via phone triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize emergency cases and coordinate with medical teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients/families for home care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with TJC and state regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
