Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via telehealth platforms to determine urgency of care needs
- Provide evidence-based medical guidance and triage recommendations for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers to coordinate patient transfers and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Manage high-volume patient inquiries with empathy and efficiency during peak hours
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for virtual care protocols
- Act as clinical liaison between patients and emergency services during critical situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification and current ACLS instructor preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency department or urgent care triage
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with telehealth systems and EHR platforms (Epic/Cerner)
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate sensitive situations
- Experience working with diverse populations in underserved communities
