Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and resolve any discrepancies with pharmacists.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and assisting with payments.
- Assist in the compounding of medications and sterile preparations when required.
- Ensure the pharmacy maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification (PTCB/ExCPT).
- Active or active-in-training California State Pharmacy Technician License.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
