Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation for OTC and prescription products
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) for dispensing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Prior pharmacy experience (retail or hospital preferred)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check and drug screening
