Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software systems and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management software
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
