Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical supply chain operations
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with clinical staff on medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for prescription compounding and calculations
- HIPAA compliance certification preferred
