Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to patients.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of pharmaceutical stock.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist with the compounding and dispensing of medications.
- Operate pharmacy management software systems (e.g., Epic, Rx30) efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
