Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries about drug usage
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict compliance with DEA and pharmacy board regulations
- Assist in sterile compounding and IV preparation when certified
Qualifications
- Current Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug classifications
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
