Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and IV preparation tasks
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and HIPAA regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and dosage forms
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
