Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical supply chain logistics
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail or compounding pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Basic IV certification preferred
- Spanish bilingual a plus
