Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and prepare IV compounds under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing, inventory control, and order fulfillment
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and precise electronic health records
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prescription authorizations
- Assist in training new pharmacy staff and maintaining compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures preferred
