Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and auditing pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell) for prescription processing
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background check and drug screening required
