Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription accuracy to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding prescriptions, insurance, and over-the-counter products.
- Assist in the operation of the pharmacy point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
